THE LIBERAL INTERNATIONAL ORDER IN THE INDO-PACIFIC

The Indo-Pacific region, while expected to be a driving force of the global economy in the 21st century, faces major geopolitical and geo-economic risks -- Russia continues its aggression against Ukraine in open disregard of international law. North Korea, forging an ever closer tie with Russia, has not stopped its provocations with repeated missile launches. China does not hide its intention to seek dominance with its readiness to resort to economic coercion. What lessons can and should East Asia learn from situations in Europe? How does democracy stand up to authoritarian states? -- Leading experts from Stanford University and Keio University, along with veteran commentators from Nikkei, will decipher the risks that affect our future.
