Registration is required for both in-person and online viewing participation in the 22nd CSIS/NIKKEI Symposium: "A Changing World and New Choices for Japan". Please read this page and click the "Register" button at the bottom to agree to the terms and conditions. Nikkei Inc. ("Nikkei") handles the registration procedures of this symposium as one of the organizers.
The deadline for In-Person registration is October 16, 2025 (JST).
The deadline for Online viewing registration is October 24, 2025 12:00 (JST)
For In-Person Participants
If the number of applications exceeds the seating capacity, participants will be selected by lottery. The result of the lottery will be sent to your registered email address by Monday, October 20, 2025. Participants selected by lottery will receive an email with the In-person Pass (PDF ticket) and event guidance.
- Please bring your In-person Pass (PDF ticket), business card, along with your photo ID (e.g. passport, driver’s license, *Employee or Student ID is not accepted) to the venue.
- The PDF ticket is valid only for the selected participant.

Registration confirmation email
After you have completed your registration, the registration confirmation email will be sent to your email address from the system automatically.
If you do not receive the registration confirmation email within 24 hours of your registration, please contact the secretariat by email.
Changes to the symposium program / cancellation of the events etc.
Please note that the symposium is subject to change or canceled without prior notice due to various reasons of the speakers and the organizers. Sessions start/end time and speakers may also change.
Attention
- Only registered attendees can use the URL for viewing. Redistribution, sharing, reselling and lending are prohibited.
- Setting up the viewing environment is the responsibility of the viewer at its own cost. The organizers will not bear costs for viewing equipment or telecommunications.
- The organizers are not responsible for viewing availability due to system trouble or disruptions in communications systems, etc.
- If unauthorized access or cyberattack is suspected or the symposium is interrupted, the organizers may disconnect access without any notice.
- The organizers, Nikkei Group companies, presenters and other rights holders own all the intellectual property rights including copyrights of the symposium's videos, voices, materials, etc. You can view or listen to them personally by yourself. Any other usage is strictly prohibited, including reuse, recording, capture, sharing with others (such as posting on social media, blogs or other web pages etc.), selling, giving, redistributing, and lending. When a violation is found, the organizers (and/or other rights holder, if any) may request the violator to stop the violation and/or delete the illegally created materials, and the violator will promptly take any action necessary for the requests.
- The organizers will not take any responsibility or obligation of any kind (direct or indirect, explicit, or implied) of damages resulting from attending the symposium. Notwithstanding, Nikkei may accept liability for compensating damages directly caused by the responsibility of the organizer(s) in accordance with the Japanese Consumer Contract Act, up to the amount of the paid fee for the actually used service that directly caused the damage.
- The organizers may use outside service providers for services in relation to the operation of this symposium at their own cost and responsibility.
- Matters concerning this symposium will be interpreted in accordance with Japanese law, and in the case of disputes, the Tokyo District Court will be the exclusive agreement jurisdictional court of the first instance.

Nikkei collects personal information through the registration form, including but not limited to salutation, name, gender, age, company/organization, section position, email address, telephone number, country/region of residence, and "How did you hear about the symposium?"
Nikkei uses the personal information in accordance with the Nikkei Privacy Policy, including for the purpose of managing, contacting and sending necessary materials related to the symposium, and providing information on Nikkei's events, seminars and media by email or post. Nikkei also uses the information statistically for the purpose of developing future events and improving services. However, Nikkei will not use a method that is likely to foment or prompt unlawful or unjust acts.
