Takumi Hashizume

Managing Director, Head of Space Innovation Office,

Joined Mitsubishi UFJ Bank in 2006 and he has since been engaged in corporate finance, primarily focusing on large global corporations. His career includes international experience, having studied in France, worked at the Paris branch, and been seconded to MUFG Union Bank in the United States. He has managed financial solutions across various industry sectors, covering M&A finance, post-merger integration (PMI), trade finance, business reconstruction, and project finance etc.

In 2022, he became the Team Head of the Investment & Business Development Group within the Industrial Research & Creation Division. In this role, formed a dedicated space industry team and has been actively involved in research, business development, and investment in the space industry for both domestic and international companies. His leadership led to the establishment of the Space Innovation Office in the Sustainable Business Division in April 2024.

Additionally, he serves as a Board member of Satellite Data Service Co., Ltd. and has contributed his expertise as an expert committee member for Japan's next-generation satellite projects under the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Ministry of the Environment.
