After graduating with a degree in Biosciences, Remi Enomoto began her broadcasting career at Nishinippon Broadcasting, where she worked as an announcer. In 2007, she became an independent broadcaster, focusing on news coverage. Her deep interest in science and communication gradually led her to specialize in space-related topics. In 2019, she launched her career as a “Space Caster®,” producing and hosting a variety of programs designed to make space science more accessible and engaging for the public. In recognition of her unique approach to science communication, she was appointed as a J-SPARC (JAXA Space Innovation through Partnership and Co-creation) Navigator by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) in 2020. This role enables her to act as a bridge between the space industry and society. Her contributions were honored with the Valuable Partner Award at the NTV Awards in 2022. In addition to appearing at events organized by JAXA and private companies, she also independently plans and hosts space-themed events. To nurture future generations, she founded the Tokyo Nihonbashi Chapter of the Young Astronauts Club (YAC), offering educational programs for children. She is also engaged in academic research on space education at Keio University’s Graduate School of System Design and Management. Appointed as a member of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology’s (MEXT) “Subcommittee on the International Space Station and International Space Exploration” in 2025, in recognition of long-term contributions to space exploration.
