Nao Shigenari

Group President of Business Strategy Group and
General Manager of Planning & Administration Div., Space Business Unit,
SKY Perfect JSAT Corp.

After joining JSAT Corporation (now SKY Perfect JSAT) in 2001, she gained wide-ranging experience through overseas training, satellite service development, joint satellite procurement with global partners, and domestic and international sales. In January 2022, she was appointed General Manager of the Mobile Business Division, and in April 2023, General Manager of the Planning and Administration Division. In April 2025, she assumed dual roles as Group President of the Business Strategy Group, Space Business Unit, and Chairman & CEO of JSAT International Inc.(U.S.), and in July 2025, also became President & CEO of JSAT Beyond Innovation LLC(U.S.).

She is currently leading the company’s transformation beyond its role as a telecom satellite operator into a “Space Solutions Provider”, driving further growth across new fields. The company’s strategic focus includes owning a constellation of low Earth orbit (LEO) Earth observation satellites and accelerating its full-scale entry into the Earth observation business, further contributing to national security, environmental monitoring, disaster response, and infrastructure management.

Beyond her professional life, she cherishes her role as a mother to a daughter and a son.
