Satoru Naiki

Director, Space Strategy Fund Department, Business Development and Industrial Relations Department, JAXA

After graduating from the Faculty of Law, Tohoku University, he joined the National Space Development Agency of Japan (now JAXA) in 1991 and was assigned to the Tanegashima Space Center. Since then, he has held in various positions including participation in negotiations for the Inter Governmental Agreement for the ISS, Secretary to the President, promotion of project management, legal affairs, followed by serving as Director of Human Resources Department, and Director of Procurement Department. Since June 2024, he has served as Director of Business Development and Industrial Relations Department, responsible for enhancing the competitiveness of the space industry, expanding its industrial base, and creating new businesses utilizing space technologies. Additionally, since July 2024, he concurrently serves as Director of the Space Strategy Fund Department.
