Satoru Kurosu is the founder of the space business of Yokogawa Electric Corporation. He graduated from Keio University’s Department of Economics in 1983. Until March 2019, he served as Director and Executive Vice President of Yokogawa. In April of the same year, he ventured into the space business, inspired by his studies at the International Space University (ISU) Executive Space Course in Strasbourg, France. In July 2021, he established the company's first dedicated organization for space business, "Space Business Development Office". He has been involved in business related to space stations, satellite remote sensing, and lunar and planetary exploration.
In April 2023, he passed the baton to the next leader and become the Executive Mentor. In the same month, leveraging his experience working with international organizations as a Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO), he established a new company, "Cross Space & Sustainability, LLC", aiming to realize a prosperous and sustainable society by utilizing technologies and solutions born from space development. In June 2024, he was appointed as a Board Member of the international NGO, Moon Village Association, established in Vienna, Austria.
