Shoichi Ohkoshi is President and Representative Director of JPMorgan Asset Management (Japan) Limited. As country head, he is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the firm’s investment management business in Japan.
Ohkoshi joined J.P. Morgan in 1994, initially in the Investor Derivatives Marketing team at J.P. Morgan Securities. Throughout his more than 20 years with the firm’s Global Market business within the Corporate and Investment Banking division, Ohkoshi gained extensive experience across fixed income, foreign exchange and equities, as well as in derivatives product development and structuring. He also went on to build strong networks with institutional investors, corporate clients and distributors as Head of Sales and Marketing.
In September 2015, Ohkoshi moved to JPMorgan Asset Management where he assumed his current position. He also serves as a Vice Chairman of the Japan Investment Advisers Association.
Ohkoshi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Economics from Waseda University.
