From 2002 to 2005, he tracked and reported on the blue light-emitting diode (LED) patent lawsuit, which attracted attention due to the 20 billion yen ruling for invention consideration. He has more than 20 years of reporting experience in the legal and intellectual property fields. His major publications include "Do Patents Belong to the Company?" In 2022, he launched the “Intellectual Property and Intangible Asset Management Forum”. an organization in which listed company managers who aim to manage intangible assets participate.
