Sasja Beslik is a Swedish and international financial expert known for promoting financial sustainability across the world.
In 2004, he joined ABN Amro as Head of Responsible Investments and started working for Nordea in 2009, where he was responsible for various senior role. He served as CEO of Nordea Investment Funds Sweden, Head of Responsible Investments at Nordea Asset Management, and Head of Sustainable Finance where he implemented decisions made by the company's corporate responsibility unit. Prior to joining SDG Impact Japan, he was Head of Sustainability Danish commercial Pension Company PFA and previously worked for J. Safra Sarasin as Head of Sustainable Finance Development.
Sasja was awarded a medal from His Majesty the King of Sweden for outstanding contribution to the environment and sustainability (2016) , and he was recognized as a Young Global Leader at the World Economic Forum (2011). He is the author of the book Guld och gröna skogar (Gold and Green Forests). He produces an influential weekly newsletter on sustainable finance (“ESG on a Sunday”).
Born in the former Yugoslavia, Sasja is a Swedish citizen. He graduated from the University of Stockholm, where he studied economics and journalism.
