Toru Yamamoto received his M.S. degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Tokyo and has been working for NASDA/JAXA. After participating in the world's earliest Cubesat development efforts, he has been involved in research and development of small satellites, spacecraft navigation sensors, and flight dynamics analysis of spacecraft rendezvous and formation flying. He stayed at DLR as a guest scientist in 2007-2008. Currently, he concurrently manages JAXA's guidance, navigation and control R&D and leads active debris removal activities.
