Chief Japan Equity Strategist, JPMorgan Securities Japan

Rie Nishihara joined J.P. Morgan as a senior bank analyst in 2015. She has been Chief Japan Equity Strategist since May 2022. Based on her understanding of Japanese macroeconomic policy and extensive experience at the Bank of Japan, she provides strategic views on Japan equities. She was educated at the University of Tokyo in Economics (BA) and at the London Business School (MSc). In addition, Rie was a visiting fellow at Columbia Business School’s Center on Japanese Economy and Business in 2010-2011. Her experience includes Advisor to the Financial System Council on bank regulation reform in 2020.
