Satoko Hotta

Satoko Hotta became a professor at the Graduate School of Health Management of Keio University in 2017, after serving as a specially-appointed associate professor at the University of Tokyoʼs Institute of Social Science and a visiting professor at Utrecht University. She graduated from faculty of law, Kyoto University and for PhD in international public policy in Osaka University.

Since junior high school, she has helped people with disabilities to live independently and engaged in actions to support and accelerate a transition to more humane and sustainable care and community building.

In 2018, she launched the “Designing for Dementia Hub” for creating a future where people can live well with dementia through promoting multi-stakeholder collaborations based on the voices, experiences, and knowledge of people with dementia.
