Graduating from the Graduate School of Media and Governance at Keio University, worked at NTT Human Interface Laboratories and PanAmSat, a U.S. satellite communications company, before receiving her Ph.D. from the Graduate School of Engineering, Department of Advanced Interdisciplinary Studies, University of Tokyo. Specialized area is human-computer interfaces, wearable computers, and virtual reality.
After working as a project assistant professor at the Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology, University of Tokyo, a special researcher at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology and an associate professor at the Graduate School of Design, Kyushu University, established zeroinon Inc. in 2021, aiming for better social implementation of human interface technology.
CoMADO, a design research tool created in collaboration with a design consulting agency, was the first launched product based on online spatial communication technology. Currently it is planned to expand to ME-BYO market for inducing social participation especially for older people.
