After graduating from university, he joined YKK Corporation in April 1996. He served in the Human Resources Department at YKK AP Inc., as well as the Human Resources Department and the Corporate Planning Department at YKK Corporation, then assumed the role of General Manager of the Corporate Communications Group, Corporate Planning Department in 2005. In 2008, he moved to Europe as the Head of Human Resources and Corporate Communications at YKK Europe Ltd. (London), the regional headquarters overseeing Europe, Middle East and Africa, and in 2011, took on the role of Head of Human Resources and General Administration at Shanghai YKK Zipper Co., Ltd, then returned to duties at the Human Resources Department, YKK Corporation in 2015. Served as Head of Human Resources at the Business Division and as Head of the Manufacturing & Engineering Human Resources Office, then assumed their current role in April 2018. He was responsible for planning the initiative to abolish the fixed retirement age system, which was introduced at domestic YKK Group companies beginning in FY2021, he is also promoting the development of an environment in which diverse human assets can flourish.
