Miori Founded Baobab in 2010. Baobab is entrusted with creation of learning data by large AI development companies and research institutes both domestic and overseas. The company creates new employment opportunities for people with limited work styles by providing training and outsourcing annotation work. Miori aims to create a society where everyone is accepted to be who they are and where everyone has more opportunities in life.
The company provides the world's highest quality AI learning data with more than 1,200 annotators worldwide; including housewives and housemen raising children, family caregivers, and people with developmental disabilities whose aptitude matches the annotation work. In 2022, Baobab launched an IT and annotation skills training program for displaced people in Ukraine, Syria, Lebanon, and other countries. In the same year, Miori co-authored paper titled “The Social Value of Work Environment Where Everyone Can be Themselves – New Jobs Created by Digitalization Increase Work Style Options” in Stanford Social Innovation Review Japan 03.
