Mr. Ouchi joined Mitsubishi Trust and Banking Corporation (now Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation) after he graduated from School of Commerce, Waseda University in 2001. As a salesperson for elderly customers, he build good relationship with the elderlies and their families and helped them to solve problems related to inheritance, real estate, trusts, etc. In his career of 17 years at the Retail Division and in his current position since 2007, he has developed new businesses related financial products and services for the elderly. Since he has been frustrated with the rigid rules and customs that forced the financial industry to respond uniformly based on criteria such as the age of elderly people, Mr. Ouchi is striving to reform rules that place a heavy burden on the elderly and is proceeding toward the realization of a society where the elderly can enjoy a more shining life. Since 2018, in addition to activities to popularize financial gerontology, he has been promoting industry-academia joint research with multiple universities.
