Hideo Misawa was born on Aug. 30, 1973, in Sagamihara, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. He was a member of the tennis club at Seiko Gakuin High School, and upon entering The University of Tokyo in 1992, he joined its American football team, Warriors, and contributed to the team's first top-four finish in the Kanto region. After completing his graduate studies at The University of Tokyo, he started his career at Goldman Sachs. He later became Managing Director at Morgan Stanley and Managing Director and Head of Fixed Income sales at Merrill Lynch Japan Securities.

In 2013, he joined DOME CORPORATION and while promoting the industrialization of sports as member of the board, he rejoined The University of Tokyo Warriors as General Manager in 2017. He also became a Visiting Professor at Tsukuba University in 2018 and now serves as an expert at various meetings of central ministries and agencies, the Liberal Democratic Party, and the Diet Members Association.

In April 2020, he joined EUCALIA (formerly Capital Medica) and became an Executive Director in 2021. In pursuit of its corporate mission of "Realize Ideal State of Medical and Nursing care through Transformation," he works to solve social issues through business activities such as management support for medical institutions, operation of nursing homes, nursing home introductory agency , promotion of medical digital transformation, and utilization of medical big data. He creates further innovation in the healthcare industry and strives to make an impact on society while leading the industrialization of healthcare. His favorite foods are curry and hamburgers.
