He is involved in research and social implementation of a system for handing down skills by converting physical skills into data and making them retraceable, and Gerontechnology for extending the super-aging society with ICT. He is researching GBER, an autonomous fluid social participation system, based on the idea that "one person's life is 100 years. After serving as a specially-appointed assistant professor at the Graduate School of Information Science and Technology, the University of Tokyo, a lecturer and specially-appointed associate professor at the Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology, the same university (-2022.3), a team leader at the RIKEN Center for Integrated Research on Innovative Intelligence (2017-2020), and a professor at the Hitotsubashi University Center for Social and Data Science Education and Research Promotion, he has been working as a researcher in the field of Gerontechnology. He has been in his current position since April 2023. He is a recipient of the Laval Virtual Trophy, IFIP Accessibility Award, and others.
