Completed the master’s program in sociology at the Graduate School of Human Sciences, Sophia University. Joined Persol Research and Consulting Co., Ltd., in 2015 after working at the NHK Broadcasting Culture Research Institute and a general marketing research firm. Conducted surveys and research on various topics related to labor, organizations, and employment. The areas of expertise are human resource management studies and theoretical sociology. The current main research areas range from work-style reform to invigoration of middle-aged and senior citizens, job change and career choice, subjective sense of well-being at work, management of part-time jobs, graduate job hunting, and unconscious bias. Recent research includes a survey on the influence of anti-COVID measures on teleworking (1st-7th), a quantitative survey on reskilling and unlearning, a quantitative survey on promoting the career advancement of women, and a survey on the current conditions of personnel evaluation systems and management by objectives . Authored How to Survive in the Age of Early Retirement (Gentosha) and co-authored a number of books, including Study of Career Change (Kadokawa).
