Kameda served as a member of the study group on sustainable medical services and institutional foundations at the Policy Research Institute, an expert member of the fiscal structural reform working group of the Fiscal Reform Subcommittee of the Fiscal System Council, and as a member of other panels.

Kameda Medical Center, a pivotal hospital of Medical Corporation Tesshokai where Takaaki Kameda serves as Chairman of the Board, became the first Japanese hospital that received Joint Commission International accreditation in 2009. It has won the accreditation for five consecutive times until now. As one of the World’s Best Hospitals selected by Newsweek, the hospital ranked 43rd in the world and third in Japan in 2021, and 46th in the world and third in Japan in 2022.
