Mr. Atsushi Okada is a partner in Mori Hamada & Matsumoto’s office in Tokyo. His principal practice areas are intellectual property, information technology, data protection and cybersecurity. He is co-head of the firm’s IP, Data Security, Fintech, Healthcare and AI/IoT practice groups. He was educated at the University of Tokyo and Harvard Law School. He serves as a member of the Expert Panel on AI Strategy for the Japanese government (Cabinet Office); the Committee for Intellectual Property Rights in the Age of AI (Cabinet Office); and the Advisory Panel on Personal Information Protection Policies (Personal Information Protection Commission).
