Asuka Nakajima is a cybersecurity researcher and engineer based in Tokyo, Japan. With over a decade of experience in computer security, her expertise spans software and endpoint security, reverse engineering, and cybersecurity research and development. She has presented at numerous international conferences and events, including Black Hat USA, Europe, and Asia; ACM AsiaCCS; Nullcon; ROOTCON; BSides Singapore; AIS3; and PHDays, and currently serves on the Review Boards for Black Hat USA and Asia as well as CODE BLUE. In addition to her research and conference activities, Asuka is the founder of CTF for GIRLS, Japan’s first information security community for women.

She has been recognized with several prestigious awards, including the 15th Information Security Culture Award, the Cybersecurity Encouragement Prize from the Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications, and the Rakuten Technology Excellence Award. She is also the author of two books — Cyber Attack (Kodansha Bluebacks, 2018; over 20,000 copies sold) and Introduction to Security Contests (Gijutsu-Hyoronsha, 2022).

She currently works at Elastic as a Senior Security Research Engineer, focusing on endpoint security product R&D.
