Steffen Zimmermann

Head of the Industrial Security Competence Center, VDMA

Steffen Zimmermann studied business informatics and began his career at the German Engineering Federation (VDMA) in 2000. He is currently head of the Industrial Security Competence Center at VDMA. He is founder and head of sectoral expert committees on information security, OT security and product security. Steffen Zimmermann is an active member of the German “Platform Industry 4.0” and the advisory board of the German “Alliance for Cybersecurity”. Steffen Zimmermann engages as an Industry Regulation Expert in numerous national and international bodies and committees for security, including BDI, ORGALIM, DAkkS, VDI, DIN, CEN/CENELEC, and ISO.
