Lauly Li has been a Tech Correspondent with Nikkei Asia since March 2018. Based in Taipei, Li has more than nine years of experience in covering the tech supply chain in Greater China, from chip manufacturing to final electronics goods assembly. Li has been focusing the coverage of U.S.-China tech war and the tech supply chain restructuring in the past several years. She is the recipient of a series of awards, including the Best in Business Awards in General Excellence from the U.S. Society for Advanced Business Editing and Writing (SABEW) thanks to a feature story with her colleague Cheng Ting-Fang on the international semiconductor supply chain. She is co-winner of the 2022 Hinrich Foundation Award for Distinguished Reporting in Trade along with Ms. Cheng with a story package including “The resilience myth: Fatal flaws in the push to secure chip supply chains,” which followed the equipment supply chain all the way upstream and found serious bottlenecks everywhere.
