Dr. Shoba Suri holds a PhD in Nutrition & Physiology and is a Senior Fellow with the Observer Research Foundation's (ORF) Health Initiative. She is a nutritionist with extensive experience in community and clinical research, specialising in nutrition, public health, agriculture and food systems, food security, gender, infant and young child feeding (IYCF), policy advocacy, and programme assessment. Her work focuses on advancing evidence-based policies and sustainable solutions to improve nutrition and health outcomes across the life course.
Dr. Suri is a trained Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) counselling specialist and has authored over 50 research publications, including book chapters, policy papers, and commentaries featured in leading national and international media outlets. She has travelled extensively to conduct field research and engage with diverse stakeholders across the nutrition and food systems landscape.
She is the co-author of the Springer book The Sustainable Plate: Unveiling the Science of Meat Substitutes and Impact on Global Health and the editor of the Springer volume Child Health and Nutrition from Conception to Age Two: Policies and Practices in Public Health.
