Ian Satchwell is a Senior Fellow at the Australian Strategic Policy Institute. He is also an Adjunct Professor at the Sustainable Minerals Institute at The University of Queensland and a Senior Minerals Adviser to ASEAN. Ian’s work focuses on building investment in sustainable minerals development in emerging regions and in creating diverse secure and sustainable supply chains for critical minerals. Ian has recently: researched supply chain risks and devised strategies for their management; examined and published on market manipulation and economic coercion practices; and proposed how like-minded countries should work together to build networked supply chains. Ian also has research and policy interests in the role of robust infrastructure in building resilient supply chains to enable resources development, and supply security.
