Dr Siti Indati Mustapa is an academic and senior research fellow at the Institute of Energy Policy and Research (IEPRe). She was the Director of IEPRe at Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN). Before joining UNITEN, she served as the Programme Manager of the Energy Modelling and Policy Analysis Unit at Malaysia Energy Centre (currently known as Malaysia Green Technology Corporation, Malaysia). She is currently the co-chair and member of the Energy Research Institute Network (ERIN), an international academic network involved in preparing appropriate energy policy recommendations for energy policymakers in the East Asia Summit.

She has vast industry experience spanning more than 20 years within the realm of energy and environmental research studies. She has served in research consultancy and advisory capacities related to energy policy studies for the Ministry of Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change (NRECC), Energy Commission, Economic Planning Unit, Department of Statistics (Environment), etc. She led a series of research projects for the government in developing the INDC and NDC roadmap of Malaysia, including an in-depth assessment of policies and mitigation actions for the Energy Sector. She also led and completed the Greenhouse gas inventory and Mitigation Chapters for the Energy Sector for the Third National Communications to UNFCCC.
