Mr. Chartsiri Sophonpanich is President of Bangkok Bank and Chairman of Bangkok Bank (China). Bangkok Bank is Thailand’s leading commercial bank and one of the largest banks in ASEAN. The bank has a long-standing presence across Southeast Asia, as well as in the major Asian economies of China, Japan, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Its overall international network includes 32 branches in 15 economies.

He is a Director of Post Publishing and also a Director of the Electronic Transactions Development Agency. He is on the Board of the National Science and Technology Development Agency; the Advisory Board of Sasin Graduate Institute of Business Administration of Chulalongkorn University; and the Board of Trustees of Bangkok University.

Mr. Chartsiri holds Master’s degrees in management and chemical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, USA.
