To commemorate Nikkei Inc.'s 140th anniversary, we will host a special event in Bangkok on Oct. 7: the Nikkei Asia300 Global Business Forum.

Asia300 is Nikkei's exclusive list of must-watch companies from six major ASEAN countries, India, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and South Korea. The forum will bring together chief executives of Asia300 companies to discuss pressing strategic issues and policies that are shaping the future of this dynamic region.

At present, Asia300 companies are looking to capitalize on the creation of the ASEAN Economic Community, as well as the expected implementation of the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade pact. To compete globally, they are also actively pursuing overseas acquisition opportunities.

In April 2014, Nikkei established its Editorial Headquarters for Asia in Bangkok to enhance its coverage of these emerging multinationals. Business leaders seeking insights into regional changes and challenges will not want to miss the upcoming forum.
